A historic winery, Marchetti was one of the first to produce Rosso Conero. Located on the hills behind the gulf of Ancona, the winery was once owned by Honourable Giovanni Bonomi, the family’s ancestor and the first representative from the province of Ancona to be admitted into the Italian government. The Rosso Conero vineyards (planted 90% with Montepulciano) cover approx. 18 hectares. In recent years, the winery has also produced a range of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Classico and Superiore made from grapes grown in the family-owned vineyards in Moie di Maiolati Spontini. Awards include Gambero Rosso “Tre Bicchieri” and many excellent result the “Marche da Bere” guide produced by the Italian Sommelier Association.
