AZIENDA AGRICOLA FATTORIA LA MONACESCA DI CIFOLA ALDO

The winery takes its name from the settlement of a group of Benedictine monks of the order of Farfa which, when taking fleeing the Langobardic persecutions in northern Italy around the year 900 A.D., decided to settle in this hermitage which over time took the name “Monacesca”. This name was used for the company in 1966 when Casimiro Cifola bought the farm and started planting the first vineyards. This was the start of a wonderful adventure and in 1982 Casimiro was joined by his son, Aldo, the present-day manager of the winery.
